Strachan Clan Seil Fund

The Strachan Clan Seil Fund is a sub fund of the Australian Communities Foundation and was set up to honour the memory of Jacqueline Bree Strachan.

Jacqui, was born with a severe brain injury, and the one thing worse than being told that your child has a disability, is being told that nothing can be done.
So, we responded as only parents of hurt children can, we ignored the box they put her in and found an exceptional program that helped our little girl achieve extraordinary results.
The program was 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

Although Jacqui died at 4 years and 11 months, we don’t regret a single moment of the time we spent on the program with her.

The Strachan Clan were constantly supported by the generosity of friends, family, and strangers from our community who helped us
and were changed by meeting and working with Jacqui – and by watching her come alive through the program.

We’ve all learned a great deal from the gift of having Jacqueline Bree in our lives and we believe that we can give a little back
by building an ongoing fund to provide grants for organisations who help hurt kids and their families.
